  • When negative emotions arise, don't hide them; acknowledge them. But before allowing them to affect your behavior, separate yourself from the emotion and instead analyze it as an independent third-party would. What was the trigger for it's origin? Is the trigger real, or are we viewing it from a biased internal perspective?
  • If you want to understand a person's intentions, evaluate what their incentive structure might look like and where their motivations might originate.
